Anna Ousseni will represent the island of Mayotte on December 11 during the Miss France 2022 contest.

Elected Miss Mayotte on October 6, she is from the village of Sada, on the west coast of the island. The one who entered the beauty contest to “gain self-confidence”, as she confided to Mayotte Hebdo, succeeds Anlia Charifa.

At 24, the young woman of one meter seventy intends to shine the spotlight on Mayotte. “My election would be a huge springboard to make our island known nationally and internationally. This is a very important issue for me, as for the entire population who expect me to give the best of myself to achieve this goal, ”Anna Ousseni told LCI. A “magnificent” island of which she is proud to represent “values ​​and culture”, she said on the evening of her election.

Projects for Mayotte

Already graduated from a Bachelor in charge of import-export zone, Anna Ousseni sees her professional future on the island where she was born, and intends to defend responsible tourism.

“I have lots of plans for the island (…). I would like to build a seaside resort here. But I’m going to start small by setting up a water sports business. This is what excites me. I had already planned to stay in Mayotte before even running for office. This is where I want to develop my professional project to help build the island, ”she confided to Mayotte Weekly last October. An island that she does not hesitate to highlight on her Instagram account.

Determined and describing herself as “very frank”, Anna Ousseni intends to follow in the footsteps of her predecessor Anlia Charifa, who arrived among the finalists last year. “Without wanting to appear pretentious, I am aiming for the title of Miss France. Or at least the top 5, ”said the young woman in Mayotte Weekly. She can bet on her smile and her fiery eyes.

The Miss France 2022 election ceremony will be held on Saturday December 11 at the Zénith in Caen, and will be broadcast live on TF1. And for the first time this year, the 29 contenders for Amandine Petit’s succession will benefit from an employment contract and remuneration.
