Miss France 2022: Who is Valeria Pavelin, Miss Côte d’Azur?

Valeria Pavelin will represent the Côte d’Azur during the Miss France 2022 competition, which will take place next December in Caen (Calvados).

The pretty blonde was elected Miss Côte d’Azur in October. She succeeds Lara Gautier, second runner-up in Miss France 2021.

24-year-old Valeria Pavelin was born to a Bosnian mother and a Croatian father in Zagreb, Croatia. She moved to France when she was still “a very small baby,” she explains to Provence. She is now a student in dental surgery.

From the height of her meter 85, Valeria has always wanted to participate in Miss France. It’s a family dream: her sister Maria was herself elected Miss Côte d’Azur in 2016. At the time, she had to give up the Miss France competition to focus on her medical studies.

But no question for Valeria to give up the scarf. If she is chosen, the young woman will take advantage of her reign to defend all the causes close to her heart, such as animal abuse. She would also like to “sensitize the population to the field of health”. “I find that in today’s society, we do not yet discuss enough certain subjects such as blood donation, organ donation, the end of life in nursing homes …”, details the future dentist To Provence.

This “daughter of the sea” who “surfs and swims a lot” hopes to embody the values of the Côte d’Azur. “I want to bring the local mentality back wherever I go,” says Valeria Pavelin. “We are simple, spontaneous, authentic … That’s what I love.”

The Miss France 2022 election ceremony will be held on Saturday December 11 at the Zénith in Caen, and will be broadcast live on TF1. And for the first time this year, the 29 contenders for Amandine Petit’s succession will benefit from an employment contract and remuneration.
