Lisa, the jogger who had invented her kidnapping in Mayenne, had she ever lied to the police? In 2019, she brought a disturbing testimony

Lisa, the 17-year-old jogger, whose mysterious disappearance two weeks ago mobilized up to 200 soldiers in Mayenne.

The teenager had disappeared Monday, November 8 after leaving her home around 4:00 p.m. in Saint-Brice (Mayenne), a rural town of 530 inhabitants, to jog, an activity that was usual for her. She reappeared safe and sound the next day around 8:00 p.m. in a fast food restaurant in Sablé-sur-Sarthe, about 10 km from the place of her disappearance.

Heard by investigators after a brief hospitalization, the young jogger finally admitted to having lied and to having run away on foot to Sablé-sur-Sarthe, for a reason still unknown, then invented a kidnapping scenario. According to our colleagues from France Info, the feeling of a “lack of recognition” would be at the origin of such a fable.

A tendency to fabricate?

According to information reported by the Dauphiné Libéré, this is not the first time that the young girl has brought a disturbing testimony to the police. In 2019, the teenager said she was the victim of a burglary at her home when she was alone at her home, indicate our colleagues. She had recounted being pushed around by two individuals who then fled. A composite portrait had been drawn up on the basis of his testimony. One of his comrades had been interviewed before being released for lack of evidence.

“Did the young girl really experience trauma at that time, or was this the first signs of a tendency to fabricate?”, write our colleagues.
