The municipalities are screaming for GPs. But medical students have better things to come up with.
It is strange to think that the GP scheme in its time was a huge feather in the cap for the then Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg (Labor).
The idea was almost ingenious. All the inhabitants of the country should have a stable and lasting relationship with a doctor who knows them. This would increase the quality of the primary health care service – and shield the specialist health care service.
