Couple arrested on highway with over 10 kilograms of hard drugs

Over 9 kilograms of heroin, one kilogram of ecstasy and over 500 grams of cocaine. Here is the quantity of drugs that was seized in a car by French customs on Sunday, November 28 in the Quincampoix (Seine-Maritime) area of ​​the A28 motorway.

A 29-year-old man and his 30-year-old partner were arrested on Sunday with this large shipment of hard drugs concealed in the spare tire of their vehicle, a Volkswagen Golf, according to France Bleu.

Judged in immediate appearance this Thursday, December 2, the two couriers were heavily sanctioned for this drug trafficking.

The man was sentenced to three years in prison with a committal warrant, as well as a customs fine of 200,000 euros. For her part, the woman received a one-year suspended prison sentence.

A reward of 3,000 euros for the transport

The first elements of the investigation cited in court made it possible to clarify the details of this story. The man had accepted the transport of this merchandise in exchange for a reward of 3,000 euros offered by his dealer in Brittany.

In debt due to his excessive consumption of cannabis, between 10 and 12 joints per day, he had already made this type of trip in July and October 2021. The full route of their route was also unveiled, with a departure from Antwerp in Belgium and a point of arrival at Rennes in Ille-et-Vilaine.
