PSG: Zinedine Zidane present in Paris

This is not likely to mitigate the rumors of an arrival at PSG. While his name has been circulating for several weeks to succeed Mauricio Pochettino on the Parisian bench, Zinedine Zidane was present at the start of the week in Paris, as evidenced by a photo posted on social networks, Monday evening, by Youri Djorkaeff.

In the photo, the former French playmaker was rather well accompanied in the streets of the capital. He was surrounded by several 1998 world champions namely Fabien Barthez, Bixente Lizarazu, Alain Boghossian, Frank Leboeuf and Youri Djorkaeff. These beautiful people took this selfie not far from Place Vendôme, probably at the end of a birthday party for Aimé Jacquet, who celebrated his 80th birthday on November 27.

It remains to be seen whether “Zizou” took advantage of his Parisian getaway to meet the leaders of PSG. Free since his departure from Real Madrid at the end of last season, he would be the priority of the capital club to replace Mauricio Pochettino, weakened by the performances of the vice-champion of France since his arrival almost a year ago and announced on the side from Manchester United.

A reluctant time, in a desire to take over from Didier Deschamps at the head of the France team, Zidane would have opened the door to an arrival at PSG. He who is currently enjoying his free time with his family, would nevertheless prefer to wait until the end of the season before taking charge of the Parisian team. But events could precipitate if the tasteless performances of Marquinhos’ teammates continue to follow in the coming weeks.

Especially since Pochettino is more and more questioned for his inability to manage egos and to impose a guiding idea in the game despite the quality of the workforce. Faculties that Zinedine Zidane was able to dismantle with Real Madrid. And it is for this reason that the Parisian general staff insists on attracting him. He also believes that he is the only one who can convince Kylian Mbappé, at the end of his contract next June, to extend the adventure in Paris. Serious arguments which plead in favor of an imminent arrival.
