LO-top demands that the pouring stop be lifted as soon as possible

Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre receives a clear message from Fellesforbundet’s leader Jørn Eggum: – We have to reopen the restaurants, he says.

Jørn Eggum leads LO’s largest union in the private sector and sits on the Labor Party’s central board. Now he asks Støre to open the taps.

Fellesforbundets is LO’s largest union in the private sector and organizes 8,000 employees in the hotel and restaurant industry. The wage level in the industry is below the average for industrial workers.

– We have to open up again. In any case, the bar stop can no longer last until the government has said that they will assess the measures. This is an industry that has had an extremely tough time in the two years of pandemic. Many employees have unfortunately been aware of this, says Eggum.
