Guest of the morning of CNEWS this Wednesday, Valérie Pécresse, LR candidate in the presidential election, returned to the shocking statements of Emmanuel Macron who said he wanted to “piss off the unvaccinated”.
Saying “indignant” by the words of the Head of State, Valérie Pécresse returned to a sentence in particular. “He also said that the unvaccinated were not citizens,” she laments. It is not for the president to sort between the good and the bad French. You have to accept them as they are, you have to lead them, bring them together without insulting them […] insult is never the right solution. ”
The “five-year term of contempt”
The LR candidate for the presidential election believes that a “terrible lack of empathy” emerges from the interview given by Emmanuel Macron to the Parisian. Stressing the need to “put an end to this five-year term of contempt”, she judges to be “the only one able to end with a president who, obviously, no longer supports the French when they do not think like him”.
According to Valérie Pécresse, this “shattering declaration” by the President of the Republic “is only there to obscure the democratic debate”. “After five years of Emmanuel Macron, France is damaged,” she says, before denouncing the “amateurism” and the “lack of preparation” of the government in the management of the health crisis.
A few months before the presidential election, Valérie Pécresse therefore recommends “political professionals” to “repair” the country instead of “dividing the French”. A recipe which, according to him, can only be achieved by his own camp.
