Placing the state to farm coral reefs

Salmon farmers are suing the state for the right to operate facilities near a cauliflower coral reef in Nordfjord.

The cauliflower coral reef off Husevågøy is described as “unique” by the Institute of Marine Research. The reef is about 1.5 kilometers long and lies at a depth of 25 to 70 meters, according to diver Erling Svensen.
