Weather forecast: five departments placed in orange vigilance “rain-flood” and “floods”

Méteo-France placed five departments on orange “rain-flood” and “flood” vigilance, this Sunday, January 9.

These are the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Hautes-Pyrénées, Haute-Garonne and Ariège.

While the North department always remains on alert raw orange

A pluvio-snowy episode is underway in the Pyrenean departments, with weak to moderate activity at first, details Météo France. The rains are expected to become more sustained in the evening and overnight from Sunday to Monday.

This strengthening is accompanied by significant warmth in the Pyrenees, the rains then replacing the snow in the mountains. The episode should continue like this until Monday afternoon and end Tuesday during the day.

Accumulated precipitation could reach 250 mm locally in the mountains.
