5:59 am: The Senate votes on the bill on the vaccination pass in a significantly modified version
The Senate dominated by the right-wing opposition voted on the night of Wednesday to Thursday in first reading, after having significantly modified it, the bill strengthening the tools of management of the health crisis, which establishes the vaccination pass. They have introduced changes that are not to the liking of the government. In particular, the automatic extinction of the vaccination pass if the number of hospitalizations linked to Covid-19 drops from below 10,000 patients nationally. The vote for the entire text was won by 249 votes in favor and 63 against.
This Thursday, deputies and senators must normally come to an agreement in a joint committee to find an agreement on the bill. This would avoid a new parliamentary shuttle, and allow the government a rapid application of the device. The executive hoped for its entry into force on January 15.
