Investigation. Pedestrians dragged by a car: the third suspect indicted and imprisoned

The third individual placed in police custody on Thursday as part of the investigation into pedestrians dragged by car, whose images were broadcast on social networks, has been indicted and remanded in custody, indicates the Bobigny prosecution. Saturday.

This individual, present in the car at the time of the events, presented himself to the police station in Noisy-le-Sec, in Seine-Saint-Denis. He is being prosecuted for complicity in intentional violence against two victims.

For one of them, a 64-year-old man, the total incapacity for work (ITT) retained is 45 days, and the offense is aggravated by circumstances of premeditation, use of a weapon (the vehicle ) and meeting. The sexagenarian suffers in particular from a broken shoulder and foot. “The authors had asked him for a cigarette. When he handed it to the driver, the latter grabbed him by the arm, held him back and started accelerating, ”described the Bobigny prosecutor on Tuesday.

For the second victim, still unidentified, no ITT was noted. The suspect is also indicted on the count of broadcasting images relating to the commission of an offense of willful attack on the integrity of the person.

A young woman, who does not appear in the images but says she has suffered similar events, has also filed a complaint.

The other two suspects imprisoned

Two men have already been indicted and imprisoned after the broadcast of this video shot in Noisy-le-Sec showing one of them, driving a car, grabbing then dragging two pedestrians until they fall.

The motorist is being prosecuted for willful violence resulting in an ITT of more than eight days, in a meeting, with a weapon and with premeditation, as well as for willful violence in a meeting without incapacity for work. He is also indicted for having taken the wheel despite the judicial suspension of his driving license. The second man, the front passenger of the car who filmed the scenes and went himself to the police station, was indicted for complicity and for having broadcast these images.

Both were imprisoned pending hearings on their pre-trial detention, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.

Outcry on social media

The amateur video, subtitled “crazy laughter of the evening”, sparked an outcry on social networks and was the subject of multiple reports from Internet users on Pharos, the platform for reporting illegal online content and behavior. The passenger films the driver who grabs a man while continuing to drive, forcing the victim to run until he falls to the ground. Then it’s another man’s turn to suffer the same fate.
