A person was seriously injured by gunshot and gunshots were heard in the city center of Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), this Wednesday shortly before noon.
The shots would come from police officers and would have taken place as part of an arrest in an ongoing procedure, according to information from CNEWS.
According to France Blue, the injured person was taken care of by the SAMU. Rescuers reportedly used a defibrillator, national radio said.
On Twitter, the police indicated that an operation was underway on rue de la Buffa and advised residents to avoid the area, restricted to traffic.
