Oslo Municipality says yes to building a new home for the Viking ships. But they also require that other vessels be taken into account.
In 1904, archaeologists stuck the shovel in the ground to dig out the Oseberg ship. 118 years later, the shovels will be in the ground again. This time to give the ship a new home.
This is confirmed by the Planning and Building Agency (PBE) to Aftenposten. They have now given the green light for the construction of the new part of the Viking Age Museum.
