“The Boys: Diabolical”: a date and a bloody trailer for the animated spin-off

Amazon Prime Video will launch the animated series “The Boys: Diabolical”, an eight-part anthology, on March 4. And the trailer is brimming with promise…and gore.

We discover a scientist, most certainly an employee of Vought, the company that “manufactures” superheroes to serve its own interests, hurrying to the edge of a park where a seemingly harmless baby is facing a battalion of police officers. heavily armed. A feather on his nose causes a sneeze. Followed by a bloodbath due to the rays coming out of his eyes. Attracted by a balloon, the child goes after it in the park while the scientist tries to catch up with him.

Announced in early December, “The Boys: Diabolical” is being helmed by original series producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, along with creator Erik Kripke. Several artists from various backgrounds participated in the development of the episodes, rapper Awkwafina, screenwriter Justin Roiland (Rick and Morty), actors Andy Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Ilana Glazer (Broad City) and Aisha Tyler (Archer ). The screenwriter of the comic book which inspired The Boys, Garth Ennis himself, also participated in the project.

“Surprise! We’ve nearly completed all eight episodes of our animated series, Diabolical. We rounded up some amazing creators and gave them a rule…just kidding, no rules. They had a blast, and delivered eight totally unexpected, funny, shocking, gory, sticky, moving episodes… Do you think The Boys is crazy? Wait to see that”, explained Eric Kripke in a press release, reported the American site Variety last December.
