Éric Zemmour’s visit to Calais disrupted by far-left activists

Traveling to Calais to discuss Europe and immigration on Wednesday January 19, Eric Zemmour saw his visit disrupted by far-left activists.

Slogans against his person were chanted by these militants. “Zemmour, break up, Calais is not yours”, could be heard on images recorded by the cameras of CNEWS.

The candidate of “Reconquest!” thus had to cut short his meeting with local police officers.

He initially wanted to go to “points of presence of illegal immigrants” to exchange “with representatives of the police”.

A planned complaint

In the evening, Eric Zemmour denounced “the collusion between certain journalists and the far left”.

Indeed, according to the candidate’s teams, a journalist would have disclosed to the activists the place of the appointment of his visit. They would then have decided to file a complaint.

Information confirmed by Bertrand de la Chesnais, campaign director for Eric Zemmour.
