UK. The robot vacuum cleaner decides to regain freedom and escapes from the hotel

He was probably yearning for a better life… reports the BBC. The device did not stop at the front door as it should have.

Tucked under a hedge

The staff of the establishment located in Cambridge (England), did not notice his disappearance until about fifteen minutes later. He remained at large until the next day, when he was found nestled under a hedge.

The story of the great escape was posted by the hotel on social media, asking that the vacuum cleaner be returned if found by a third party. In the comments, netizens hoped the automaton would “enjoy the trip”, having “no natural predators” in the wild.

It’s been cleaned and “it’s now back on a shelf with the rest of its robot vacuum family,” the hotel confirmed.
