Cameroon qualifies for the quarter-finals by beating Comoros (2-1)

Cameroon, host country of the 2022 African Cup of Nations, has just qualified to play in the quarter-finals, beating Comoros.

The indomitable lions were able to take advantage of the flaws in the Comorian workforce, as well as a red card very early in the match. Victorious (2-1-), the Cameroonians will find Gambia in the quarter-finals.

The Comoros were greatly reduced from the start with 12 cases of Covid in the workforce, including the first two goalkeepers. Defender Chaker Alhadhur also had to put on the gloves against the host country.

The reduction of the score (81st minute) on a magnificent free kick from Youssouf M’Changama will not change the final score, which propels Cameroon into the quarters against Gambia, which is participating in the first CAN in its history.
