Dare to be feminism flags thousands of illegal videos on porn sites

The Osez le féminisme association has announced that it has made 200 reports on the Pharos platform of “illegal” videos present on very popular porn sites.

The reports represent thousands of videos posted online and target entire categories due to “acts of torture and barbarism, incitement to commit crimes and misdemeanors, pedocrime, rape, apology for racial hatred”.

Impunity for porn sites

“These intolerable images contravene criminal and international law but remain accessible to everyone on the Internet”, deplores Dare feminism in a statement, published on Sunday.

The association also denounces the “impunity” that reigns around the content. “If we had access to this same kind of content in any other context, these videos would immediately be considered violent, banned, condemned”, but “as they are pornographic sites, it passes for sexuality, of freedom of expression”, thus underlines with France Info Alyssa Ahrabare, spokesperson of the association.

Dare feminism also expresses its deep concern for the victims of these videos: “The consent of these women is extorted, the videos of the sexual violence they have suffered are posted on the Internet, they suffer large-scale humiliations which have catastrophic physical and psychological consequences”.

The feminism association also warns against the consequences of this content for society as a whole, in particular for the construction of the sexuality of the youngest. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, at the age of 12, almost one in three children has already been exposed to pornographic content, whether deliberately or accidentally. In addition, 44% of young people who have already had sexual intercourse say they reproduce practices that they have seen in this content.

With this campaign, Osez le féminisme “calls on the Ministry of the Interior to seriously seize the subject of the violence perpetrated and legitimized by the pornocriminal system”.
