A great lady of French cinema. The 47th Cesar 2022 ceremony, which will be held on February 25 on the stage of L’Olympia, will be chaired by filmmaker Danièle Thompson.
The director of the Christmas comedy “La Bûche” (1999), her first feature film, which earned her two César nominations, succeeds actor Roschdy Zem.
Danièle Thompson, whose career spans more than half a century, “is a pioneer. With a modern pen, chiseled dialogues, she has been able to trace a unique course, between auteur films and popular comedies, ”wrote the Académie des César, which will unveil the list of nominations on Wednesday January 26.

Daughter of director Gérard Oury and actress Jacqueline Roman, Danièle Thompson is also known for having co-written the screenplay for “La Grande Vadrouille” (1966), and that of the film “The Adventures of Rabbi Jacob” (1973).
We also owe him the script for “L’As des As”, directed by his father and directed by Jean-Paul Belmondo. This is the very first film broadcast on Canal + when the channel was launched on November 4, 1984.
Without forgetting “Cousin, cousine” (1975), a film nominated for several Oscars, including that of the best original screenplay, as well as “La Boum”, by Claude Pinoteau, a work which revealed Sophie Marceau in 1980.
In terms of achievements, we owe him “Orchestral armchairs” (2006), “The Code has changed” (2009), “People kissing” (2013), or the biopic “Cézanne and me” (2016) , his latest feature film.
