– We are very pleased that the transition is now in place. The conditions and the sum contained in the contract are very good. This is the biggest transition from Norwegian women’s football ever, and is probably starting to approach the European record as well. This is a significant sum for the club, says chairman of the board of RBK, Ørjan Engen.

Blakstad was presented as a Manchester City player on Thursday afternoon. She has signed a two and a half year contract with the light blues, where she gets suit number 41.

– It is fantastic to be a Manchester City player and I can hardly wait to get started, Blakstad says to Manchester City’s website.

VG was informed earlier on Thursday that there was only a little paperwork left before the transition was in order, and now it has been confirmed.

– Already at the age of 20, she has shown what talent she is, both for club and national team. She will fit in perfectly here, says Manchester City coach Gareth Taylor.

The case is being updated.
