The lifeless body of a 10-year-old child was found near his home in Ferrières-en-Brie (Seine-et-Marne). His mother was arrested this morning at the home of a member of his family in Choisy-le-Roi (Val-de-Marne). She was taken into custody.
The father of the child had reported this Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in the evening, the disappearance of his son but also of his wife. After returning from work, the man noticed that the house was empty, before discovering traces of blood, a source familiar with the matter told CNEWS.
These traces were found by the investigators. This Thursday, the body of the child was discovered in a suitcase, which had been thrown in a dumpster. According to the Meaux prosecutor, the child had several “serious lesions”, most likely caused by “stabbing”.
An important device had been put in place by the police to allow the mother to be found as soon as possible.
The couple are in the process of separating but still live under the same roof.
In a press release published this Thursday evening, the public prosecutor of Meaux indicated that the investigation for the count of intentional homicide of a minor under the age of 15 was continuing.
