Fashion: Kanye West wants to parade the homeless for his next collection

Kanye West wants to help homeless people in Los Angeles. How? ‘Or’ What ? By launching a charity collaboration presented during a parade that would employ the homeless.

While the artist has already contacted the mayor of Los Angeles’ team in the past to stem the crisis affecting the homeless in the City of Angels, the interpreter of “Donda” has decided to embark on a new charity project, reports the American site TMZ.

In order to help the homeless, the 44-year-old artist and stylist would work on a fashion show and a collaboration with the street wear brand Skid Row Fashion Week. A revelation made by David Sabastian, at the origin of Skid Row Fashion Week, a company which, according to its founder, redistributes part of its sales to the inhabitants of this disadvantaged neighborhood and whose factory works with homeless people.

A charity collab and a parade that challenges

David Sabatsian thus explained to TMZ having met Kanye West in Los Angeles last month. While the star was recording, in his studio located just near the Skid Row district, the second part of his album Donda, the two men would have agreed to launch a Yeezy X Skid Row Fashion Week collaboration. All proceeds from this Yeezy collaboration will be donated to help the people of Skid Row, added David Sabatsian.

The Californian city is home to many homeless people, especially in the Skid Row district, where thousands live in appalling conditions.

The latter also clarified that the duo would also plan a parade during which employees of the Skid Row Fashion Week factory would evolve on the catwalk. A parade, which to mark the spirits, would integrate objects found in this abandoned district, evoking for example the possibility of designing a jacket in the shape of a garbage bag.

While this collaboration is to be unveiled on February 22, according to David Sabatsian, its marketing would coincide with the release of Kanye West’s new album “Donda 2”. The artist has indeed confirmed the publication of this opus on his Instagram site.
