Lucifer: Tom Ellis has already found a role in a new series

Following the conclusion of “Lucifer” in 2021, fans of Tom Ellis will be delighted to learn that he will soon be making his return in a series dubbed “Washington Black”, scheduled to air on the American streaming platform Hulu.

Adapted from the eponymous novel by Esi Edugyan, this limited series follows the story of an 11-year-old boy working on a 19th century Barbadian sugar cane plantation, George Washington ‘Wash’ Black. After having his life turned upside down by a shocking death, Wash flees the plantation to travel around the world, and live many exciting adventures.

Tom Ellis will play the character of Christopher “Titch” Wilde, an eccentric inventor whose facade of enthusiasm hides great vulnerability. The horrific death that occurs on the family plantation propels him into the crazy adventure alongside Wash. While unprepared for all of this, Titch assures the boy of a father figure and mentorship, which leads him to contemplate his relationship with his own father. With potentially disastrous consequences.

The American site Collider specifies that actor Sterling K. Brown (This is us) will also be cast in the limited series in the guise of Medwin Harris, a refugee who managed to survive a traumatic childhood to travel around the world. And who as a result will build a very special relationship with the young boy.

The series is scheduled to be broadcast on the Hulu steaming platform in the United States, which means that it should be available in France on Disney+. But no official information has been communicated on the subject for the moment.
