In Oslo and Trondheim, it is estimated that more than 50,000 passports have not been renewed through the pandemic, writes NRK.

About half of these are for children under 18, as their passports are valid for a shorter period.

But now many want to renew their passports, as coronary restrictions have been eased.

Elisabeth Lund from the Oslo police district asks people to have ice in their stomachs if there is no free time to renew their passport in the near future.

– We save new hours every day depending on capacity and cancellations, but anyway every Friday. I recommend checking several times if it is a long time until the next free hour, she says.

Also in other police districts, they spend several hours if possible. The recommendation is to follow the police’s website.
