Self-Driving Cars' Nightmare

Never intended: self-driving nirvana. Since the mass-produced car created a new galaxy of firms, America's scions have discouraged public transit with self-driving cars.

In 2018, the New York Times said the Koch brothers hurt public transit with driverless cars. 

Libertarian billionaires and fossil fuel friends helped Americans for Prosperity organize hundreds of transportation funding withdrawal initiatives in towns and states. 

Public transit was inefficient and antiquated because self-driving cars were coming shortly. Five years later, we're still waiting for the self-driving revolution—but the Koch brothers' bad-faith public transit plans are still around.
