Restaurant: French culture to eat at the Chouchou hotel

A simple menu, fresh products, a friendly atmosphere: the Chouchou hotel puts the small dishes in the big ones to celebrate the culture of good French eating.

It is a stone’s throw from the Opéra Garnier that the Chouchou hotel is located and its welcoming tavern. Whether you want to taste good products on the spot or to take away, head to the “food court” market made up of two stalls.

The sea side, called “La Mer à Boire”, offers a fine selection of fresh products, such as oysters straight from the bay of Quiberon, shrimps, salmon, but also IGP whelks from Granville. Do not miss the famous Oyster Party with the oyster at 1 € every Tuesday evening.

Opposite, the “La Grande Bouffe” stall emphasizes simple but effective dishes: crispy fries, a revisited sausage pancake (from € 7), or the famous cold meats and cheese board ( from 14 €). Served with bread and butter, the latter is ideal for sharing.

You can enjoy it all in the open air café at the Chouchou hotel, seated at a large, friendly table or in a slightly more intimate corner. At the bar, the menu offers a selection of cocktails that does not fail to pay tribute to French pop culture. Our favorite: the “Initiale Bébé”, for its sweetness based on violet essence and raspberry liqueur (€ 14).

The tavern and the food court are at the heart of the Chouchou hotel, which has 63 rooms, where it is possible to spend the night. Among these, three adorable and luxurious suites pay homage to French icons: Edith Piaf, Boris Vian and Serge Gainsbourg. What to make sweet dreams.
