They were trying to reach Great Britain. At least five migrants died on Wednesday in the sinking of their boat in the Channel, off Calais.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, it is a fisherman who, around 2 p.m., reported the discovery of about fifteen floating bodies off the town of Pas-de-Calais. Several bodies were recovered by a vessel of the French Navy.
According to a provisional toll, five people have died and five are unconscious.
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin has announced that he will be there.
