The Initiative Bus brings employment to your fingertips

For nearly 10 years, the Initiative Bus has been meeting citizens to bring them closer to their entrepreneurial projects. This Wednesday, the association is organizing a special event for artists in Garges-lès-Gonesse (Val-d’Oise).

The meeting will be devoted to self-entrepreneurship in the artistic world. “We are receiving more and more artists who want to develop something other than their activity but do not know how to do it”, reports for CNEWS Garry Londinière, deputy director of the Creative association, which hosts the device. Initiative Bus.

This Wednesday, the objective is to allow artists to meet “experts who can guide them on their projects, direct them on contracts, copyright etc.”

One more event in favor of employment for the association created at the end of 2011 by Mohamed El Mazroui. First launched on the roads of the east of Val-d’Oise, Créative now crisscrosses those of Île-de-France with a few excursions in the rest of the country such as Arles, Marseille or Lille.

The goal ? “Reach out to the public instead of waiting in an office, Garry explains. We go to the neighborhoods a lot so we work a lot with people from priority areas. However, we are going more and more to rural areas ”.

A very varied audience

Composed of a fleet of 6 vehicles, the Initiative Bus does not invent solutions but brings to the knowledge of the inhabitants “devices which exist in their territory but from which they do not benefit”, he adds.

The project revolves around employment, training and business creation. Recently, it has also offered legal assistance for “all administrative procedures to have social rights of all kinds”.

The association, which has 22 employees, welcomes diverse profiles: “young and old, retirees, people in training or unemployed, people who wish to retrain but also inactive or invisible”. “These are people who have taken off the radar of structures or even organizations for the unemployed”, specifies the young deputy director.

On the occasion, the Bus, financed by subsidies but also by the contribution of private groups, joins forces with the municipality to accommodate the services of the town hall such as “civil status, sport and culture”, affirms he does.

around 8,000 beneficiaries per year

Each year, around 8,000 people benefit from the advice given around the Initiative Bus. At the meeting places, they can also meet professional integration and business creation. They thus benefit from direct contact and expert advice.

With the Covid, more and more people have asked themselves questions about their professional future and have joined the applicants. In addition to vehicles, they can also go to one of the two permanent offices of the Creative Association, located in Garges-lès-Gonesse and Goussainville.

After having established itself in each department of the Île-de-France, the association would like to “develop outside of partner structures that we would select,” says Garry.
