Where does the ceremony take place?
The 2021 Ballon d’Or ceremony is organized at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. It will start from 8:30 p.m. with in particular the former striker Didier Drogba at the animation. It should end around 10 p.m. after the presentation of all the trophies.
What trophies will be awarded?
The Golden Ball will not be the only trophy awarded during this evening. There will also be the Women’s Golden Ball, which was created in 2018 with Norway’s Ada Hergerberg crowned that year and Megan Rapinoe crowned in 2019, as well as the Raymond Kopa Trophy, which rewards the best youngster under 21. years, and the Lev Yachine Trophy, awarded to the best goalkeeper.

The men’s Ballon d’Or jury is made up of 180 journalists, one per country, while the women’s Ballon d’Or jury is made up of 50 journalists specializing in women’s football. Each reporter made a list of five players. Six points are awarded to the first, four to the second, three to the third, two to the fourth and one to the last. The ballot was closed on October 24th. For the Raymond Kopa trophy, 32 former Golden Ball winners voted.
