Michel Houellebecq’s new book was pirated before publication

The French author’s new book arrives on January 7, but was already available online last week.

The French author Michel Houellebecq’s new book was to be found illegally online before publication.

In just over a week, Michel Houellebecq’s new book “Anéantir”, which means “Destroy”, will go on sale. The novel is over 730 pages, the publisher Flammarion states on its website. The book’s action was kept secret until Thursday, a week before its release.

A new book by Houellebecq is a literary sensation in France, and he is translated into a number of languages, including Norwegian. The books are often sharply socially critical, original and dystopian.
