Bodø / Glimt may have revealed Espejord transfer – was listed as a Glimt player

Runar Espejord has been linked to Bodø / Glimt recently, and on Wednesday the 25-year-old was listed as a Glimt player on the league champions’ own website.

Aftenposten collaborates with VG-sporten. Therefore, as an Aftenposten reader, you also get articles and services created by VG.

Under the category «attacking players», Runar Espejord was listed as Bodø / Glimt player on glimt.no. A little later on Wednesday morning, he was removed from the northerners’ team overview, but the Norwegian league champion may – somewhat prematurely – have revealed the transfer.

A little further down in the case, you can see the screenshot from glimt.no, which in yellow on white shows Espejord listed as a Glimt player.

According to VG’s information, not all the details are in the box yet, but everything indicates that it is in order. That Espejord was listed as a Bodø / Glimt player supports VG’s information, and this indicates that a confirmation is not too far away.

The picture below is taken from earlier Wednesday morning, while he was listed:

Content producer in Bodø / Glimt, Niklas Aune Johnsen, took over Twitter and the joke about the Espejord listing when Avisa Nordland and VG picked it up:

– Good day for glimt.no … If I only knew how to remove him !, he wrote.

When the error was corrected, he followed up with the following tweet:

– Nothing gives me a resting pulse like when glimt.no/lag is completely one hundred percent updated and tidy.

Here you get the latest news from the Elite Series:

Espejord has spent the last year and a half on loan at the parent club Tromsø, but is still owned by Dutch Heerenveen. He has a contract with the Honorary Division club until the summer of 2022, but most indications are that he will play for league champion Bodø / Glimt next season.

He has only played eight games for Heerenveen since he went there in January 2020.

Espejord was on the field in 17 league games for Tromsø in 2021, without scoring a single goal. However, he was terribly close when he kept up with a wild solo raid for Tromsø against Vålerenga:
