Françoise Hardy is celebrating her 70th birthday this Monday, January 17. On this occasion, the photographer Jean-Marie Périer gave news of the state of health of his friend. “She fights, she holds on as best she can,” he said.
For many years already, the singer is fighting against the disease. Indeed, he was diagnosed with cancer of the lymphatic system in 2019.
She was then treated with radiotherapy with numerous side effects. “I have no more saliva, and neither my nasal passages nor my ear left become deaf are not irrigated normally. Among other things, respiratory distress, coughing fits, obstructions and nasal hemorrhages occur non-stop without warning,” she explained to L’Obs last May.
Exhausted by her illness, the artist told Current wife that she wanted to use the right to die with dignity. “I would like to have this chance, but given my small notoriety, no one will want to run even more risk of being struck off the order of doctors.Despite this situation, Françoise Hardy continues to fight.
In a snapshot shared on Instagram, where Françoise Hardy appears alongside singer Alain Chamfort, his friend Jean-Marie Périer commented : “As for the Great: for those who are worried about the fate of Françoise, let’s say that she is fighting, that she is holding on as well as possible, and that she continues to write every day because that is what she prefers and that she does best.»
Before concluding : “She has always had my tenderness, now in addition, she has my admiration.»
