After many months on the sidelines, he finally got the green light to start training again.

– Now it’s going the right way. I have received the green light from the doctors, and expect to be back in January. My only focus now is to get in shape again so that I can line up for the club and national team, wrote the 30-year-old. When the accident first occurred, absolutely everything was completely black. I was completely blind and my face was scorched, he continued.

On January 14, Elabdellaoui published the first photos of his return to the football field Twitter , where he wrote:

– Lovely to be back!
