A little before 8 a.m. this Friday morning, an 11-year-old child was knocked down by a car on a departmental road in Morbihan in the town of Plumergat, reports West France.
According to preliminary information, the child was crossing the road to reach a bus stop after his mother dropped him off when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a man.
Supported in serious condition, he was transported to hospital in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine). Still conscious during the accident, the vital prognosis of the child is engaged.
According to the gendarmes, the driver was negative during his screenings for alcohol and narcotics.
