Taylor Swift: a man arrested after driving his car into the star’s building

New York police announced on Friday, January 28, the arrest of a man who had rushed his car into the building of pop star Taylor Swift overnight in order to return home.

Morgan Mank, 31, tried to drive the wrong way on a street in the Tribeca neighborhood of lower Manhattan, the American singer’s New York residence.

According to the police report, around 3:00 a.m., “witnesses claim to have seen a man in a car driving in the wrong direction on Franklin Street and hitting a residential building”, where Taylor Swift lives.

The suspect then “exited his vehicle, approached the building and unsuccessfully attempted to force entry through a secure door.”

Several harassers already arrested

This isn’t the first time Taylor Swift has been targeted by bullies. In 2019, in Elle magazine, she wrote that there were “enough stalkers trying to break into her home” that she felt compelled to “prepare for something bad to happen.”

In June 2019, a suspected burglar from Iowa was arrested in Rhode Island, where the singer has a house, armed with a baseball bat, his plan was to “visit.”
