Believing it to be a neighbour, the child offered to help the man and followed him down the street. Once outside, the suspect allegedly placed his hand over the girl’s mouth forcing her to force her way inside his vehicle.

“The individual would have walked a few hundred meters and would have stopped to go and retrieve something from his trunk. The victim would have taken the opportunity to get out and run to his grandmother’s home,” a source close to the investigation told
